Memoir Writing If you're writing about life experiences, whether personal essays or a full memoir (book), this class will guide you through selecting the "episodes" to include along with writing elements to help you engage the reader. (6 weeks, $79)

Self-Publishing with Kindles, CreateSpace, and other Publishers Learn the steps you will need to take and the details to consider as you prepare your project for print-on-demand (POD) or ebook publishing. Popular packages, sites, services, and publishing programs are included with ample time for individual questions to be answered. (6 weeks, $79)

Writing Workshop: Guides Revision This class is for non-beginners and will focus on working with each student's work-in-progress as they begin the revision process. A majority of the class time is spent reading excerpts of student manuscripts to discuss what works and what needs improvement. Students benefit from questions and comments of the group as they focus on revising the beginning, middle, and endings to their own projects. (6 weeks, $79)

Jumpstart with Journaling This is a creativity class focusing on writing prompts and exercises to give our creativity a jump start. We will discuss how writers use journals, levels of reflection in journal writing, and how journals differ from diaries and writers' idea books. Time allotted for students to share in-class writing exercises and which writing prompts are more helpful than others. (6 weeks, $79)

Writing Books Learn the 4 stages in the book-writing process and then get started on your own book idea. The class is broken down to cover all the stages but focus on the first two: the development & planning, and drafting. Considerations for both fiction and nonfiction projects are covered. Students will have time to share excerpts for feedback during class. (6 weeks, $79)

Creative Connections This is a creativity class blending art and writing. Learn about the creative process and what happens in our brains as we read and write fiction and nonfiction. Students will complete projects and writing exercises to trigger creativity, develop writing ideas and unblock stalled work. Art projects are related to writing craft and include character trees, setting and character collages, and more. (6 weeks, $79)

Creative Writing A general writing class focusing on short stories or essays and personal experiences. Each week focuses on specific writing elements with class time for exercises to appy those elements. The second half of the class includes critique when students share writing they have completed outside of class for feedback and suggestions for improvement. (6 weeks, $79)
