Self-Editing for Writers (4 weeks)

Identifying errors in our own writing is hard, but by following 8 simple principles, you will be able to polish your prose while having fun brushing up on grammar and punctuation basics. Through writing exercises learn to engage readers by crafting 3-dimensional characters then creating an exciting plot with a realistic point-of-view. The real work of writing happens during the revision stage in the writing process. Learn different techniques to rethink pacing and development of your work-in-progress. Participants work with their own manuscripts to complete in-class revision exercises and then share excerpts. Bring a short 2-page writing sample to the first class. Click for registration details.
